SOMERSET FUNDRAISERS’ GROUP (SFG)
Terms of Reference
- The main purpose of the group is for those in Somerset with a genuine interest in funding for the voluntary/community sector (VCS) to network with other fundraisers and to share information.
- Meetings will be held quarterly and speakers from a variety of funding agencies will be invited to address the group from time to time.
- Members will help, advise, inform, support and guide each other in their fundraising work.
- The needs of group members will help to direct local fundraising training provision.
- Any sensitive information shared at meetings about members’ fundraising activity for their organisation will remain confidential unless agreed otherwise.
- A membership subscription will be payable in April of each year.
- Any member considered to be acting contrary to the interests of the group may have their membership withdrawn.
- SFG funds will be held by ViSTA (Voluntary Sector Training Alliance) which will report on the financial position at each meeting. ViSTA will be accountable to SFG members for all monies held in SFG’s name and its members will decide how any surplus should be spent.
- In the event of SFG being dissolved, any financial residue will pass to another organisation concerned with promoting VCS fundraising in Somerset.
