South West Forum Funding Survey
South West Forum have already had the first responses to their 2008 funding survey; unfortunately early indications are not good.
They would still like more completed surveys. The questions and format are simple and the survey shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to complete.
There is a link below to the questionnaire and background information.
Respondents so far report:
- Diminished capacity: staff reductions, fewer projects, reduced
services - Organisations running deficit budgets
- Increasing demands but static or reducing funding
- Increased competition for grants
- Concerns around contracting with statutory organisations and support
for tendering VCOs - Reductions in funding advice support and access to small grants
Although the questionnaire is principally aimed at infrastructure
organisations, if there are other issues or concerns relating to funding and
investment which you would like to raise but which are not covered by the
questionnaire, please give details separately.
This research is being conducted by Liz Simmons on behalf of South West
Forum and is funded by Capacitybuilders.
