European Funding Programme for the SW Region
Community Grants
South West Foundation in Partnership with the Learning Curve and the Learning and Skills Council, will shortly be opening a new grant programme on 10th November 2008 for the South West Region.
The New Community Grants programme, funded by the European Social Fund and the Learning and Skills Council, is aimed at supporting Voluntary and Community Organisations with charitable aims, to deliver projects that will help and support people furthest removed from the labour market to pick up the skills and confidence that will enable them to move toward employment.
This particular programme covers all of the South West excluding Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. (For details of the Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Programme please contact the Cornwall Community Foundation on 01566 77933)
Grants up to £12,000 will be available although it is envisaged that most grants will be in the region of £6-8,000.
In connection with this programme the South West Foundation is holding a number of information seminars throughout the Region.

North Devon : Tuesday am : 25th November: Burton Art Gallery: Bideford
Somerset: Tuesday pm: 25th November: Albermarle Centre Taunton
Bristol/West of England Wednesday am: 26th November: St Werburghs Community Centre: Bristol.
Gloucestershire: Thursdayam 27th November: Barnwood Reading Room, Gloucester
Swindon and Wiltshire am: Monday 1st December venue to be arranged
Dorset including Bournemouth and Poole: am: Friday 28th November; Stratton Village Hall Dorchester
Morning seminars are likely to be 10am-12 noon
Afternoon seminars are likely to be 2:00pm-4:00pm
