The Elephant Trust
The Elephant
Trust was created in 1975 by Roland Penrose and Lee Miller with a view to
develop and improve the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the fine
arts in the United Kingdom.
The Trust is committed to helping artists
and institutions that depart from the routine and signal new, distinct and
imaginative sets of possibilities.
Applicants
are asked to consider the above carefully to be sure their project falls within
the remit of The Elephant Trust.
Grants have usually been limited to
£2,000 but larger grants may be considered.
Priority is now being given to artists in the visual arts and to small organisations and galleries working with them.
The Trust
appreciates well argued, imaginative proposals from artists or small supporting
institutions to make or produce new work.
