The Sir Cliff Richard Charitable Trust

The Sir Cliff Richard Charitable Trust is the channel through which Sir Cliff directs all his personal charitable support. This means that the Trust does not make public appeals or organise fund-raising events - although it is very appreciative of the support given by so many of Cliff's fans over the years.

Grants are made by the Trust every quarter, with about 50 different registered charities benefiting each time. Priority is given to charities working in medical research, with children and the elderly, and those involved with the physically and/or mentally disabled. While these form the main focus,  other charities, which Sir Cliff would also like to encourage, do receive help from time to time.

Registered charities in the UK are eligible to apply for funding.   The level of grants awarded is variable (i.e. there are no given maximum or minimum amounts), but are likely to be for smaller – rather than larger – grant awards.
