The Carpenters' Company Charitable Trust

The Carpenters’ Company Charitable Trust awards educational grants and supports a wide range of other charitable causes.

Educational grants can be awarded to students on woodworking courses, while a wide range of charitable causes are also supported including those dedicated to the elderly, disabled, homeless, young people and children as well as craft-related activities.

Educational Grants

Educational grants are awarded only for wood related courses undertaken in the UK.

Awards are considered annually in July and no grants are awarded retrospectively. Currently the maximum grant per year awarded to a student is £2,400.

General grants

Grants are considered every November and you should submit your application form by the last working day of October. The maximum grant available is £5,000.

Applications are considered on a number of criteria, including:

o       the type of work the organisation does;

o       its financial position;

o       its procedures to ensure good practice; and

o       if the project will meet a recognised need.
