The Batty Charitable Trust
The Batty Charitable Trust (BCT) is a grant making Trust whose income is derived from gifts made by the Estate of the late Christina Batty (otherwise known as Christina Foyle).
The BCT will generally support smaller charities in the UK and especially those working at grass roots and local community level.
They normally award one year grants of between £1,000 and £10,000 to charities which can demonstrate that such a grant will make a significant difference to their work.
In 2007/08 the Trust made awards totalling £551,000 to 119 organisations. The average grant award was £4,630. A number of SW based applicants, including Farms for City Children in Okehampton, successfully applied for a grant.
There are no deadlines for submission and applications will be received throughout the year.
