Welcome to the website dedicated to The Somerset Fundraisers' Group (SFG)
The main purpose of the group is for those in Somerset with a genuine interest in funding for the voluntary and community sector (VCS) to network with other fundraisers and to share information.
The Somerset Fundraisers Group (formally the Taunton Deane Fundraisers Interest Group) was established in December 2004 by Mind TWS and Taunton Deane CVS. Thanks to a grant from The South West Foundation and creating:excellence, the group has now become a county-wide initiative.
The group has close working relationships with The Institute of Fundraising (South West), The Somerset Funding Advisor Worker's network and other fundraising networks.
As a member of SFG, you are also entitled to free membership of the Practical Fundraising Association (www.practicalfundraising.co.uk) for 1 year. Benefits include: free email newsletters giving practical advice on different areas of fundraising, ‘Ask an Expert’ – email any fundraising questions you may have and get a personal reply, discounts on a range of services and free online publications from this Summer. We always welcome ideas and feedback from members, particularly regarding content for the quarterly meetings.
